Análise da violência doméstica na saúde das mulheres

Violence against women is characterized by damage to physical and mental health of the victim, and is not linked solely to the use of physical force, but also the idea of submission, INTRODUCTION: Violence against women is characterized by damage to physical and mental health of the victim, and is not linked solely to the use of physical force, but also the idea of submission, culturally ingrained in gender relations, in which man behaves itself as being dominant and women an inferior being. As result of violence, women are hindered in their social life, repressed and psychologically shaken. It is a public health problem of great magnitude in the world. It is known that women are more vulnerable to health problems and has unique needs, differentiated from other groups in society, such as prevention, control and combat to physical and mental illnesses. According to the National Policy for Integral Attention to Womens Health, these injuries are more linked with gender issues such as the situation of discrimination in society than to biological factors. Gender inequalities, historically produced and legitimated by culture and society, put women in inferiority and depreciation position. In this context, violence is used as a mechanism of maintenance and confirmation of male power over women... A violencia contra a mulher caracteriza-se por danos a saude fisica e mental da vitima, e nao esta ligada apenas ao uso da forca fisica, mas tambem a ideia de submissao, culturalmente impregnada nas relacoes de generos, na qual o homem comporta-se como ser dominante e a mulher um ser inferior. Como consequencia da violencia, as mulheres ficam prejudicadas em sua vida social, reprimidas e psicologicamente abaladas. Trata-se de um problema de Saude Publica de grande magnitude no mundo. Sabe-se que a mulher e mais vulneravel a problemas de saude e apresenta necessidades singulares, diferenciada dos demais grupos da sociedade, tais como: prevencao, controle e combate as enfermidades fisicas e psiquicas. Segundo a Politica Nacional de Atencao Integral a Saude da Mulher, estes agravos estao mais ligados com as questoes de genero, como a situacao de discriminacao na sociedade, do que aos fatores biologicos. As desigualdades de genero, produzidas historicamente e legitimadas pela cultura e sociedade, colocam mulheres em posicao de inferioridade e desvalorizacao. A sala de situação da dengue como ferramenta de gestão em saúde

Trata-se de estudo documental, retrospectivo e descritivo que utilizou os dados do primeiro semestre de 2012 do Sistema de Informacao de Agravos de Notificacao com o objetivo de apresentar a sala de situacao da dengue do Distrito Sanitario IV (DSIV), Joao Pessoa -PB como ferramenta de apoio ao planejamento e a gestao. Como resultado do estudo, dos 2.732 casos de dengue notificados, confirmaram-se 1.645. No territorio do DSIV, notificaram-se 302 casos, com maior incidencia nos bairros Centro (9,8%), Treze de Maio (7%) e Varadouro (6,1%). Aponta-se a importância do uso da informacao para avaliacao da situacao de saude e tomada de decisao com vistas a direcionar acoes intersetoriais, educativas e de conscientizacao.

As repercussões do aleitamento materno exclusivo em crianças com baixo peso ao nascer

Objetivou-se investigar as repercussoes do Aleitamento Materno (AM) exclusivo ate o sexto mes de vida de criancas com baixo peso ao nascer. Trata-se de um estudo exploratorio, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado em USF de Joao Pessoa. A partir dos discursos, foram construidas duas categorias, intituladas: A importância do AM no crescimento e desenvolvimento das criancas com baixo peso ao nascer; O papel da Atencao Basica na promocao do AM e no apoio as maes. Evidenciou-se a importância do aleitamento materno no tocante ao crescimento e desenvolvimento das criancas que nasceram com baixo peso, como tambem o papel dos trabalhadores da atencao basica no incentivo e na promocao do aleitamento materno.

Objective: To present the potential of university extension for medical training, based on the perception of extension workers. Method: This is an exploratory descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, carried out with medical students, former students of the university extension project of the elderly health. Wheels of conversations were made to base empirical production on a semi-structured interview script. The analysis was performed using Fiorins speech analysis technique. Results: It was possible to verify, in this research, the power of the university extension in the medical training, the impact generated in the accompanied elderly people and the importance of the production of bond. It was also verified the importance of providing students with more projects that can give a return to society and foster in students the need not to stop only the pathology, but mainly to awaken the motivation for a humanized and integral care. Conclusion: The university extension provides an approximation with the community, through the bond and accountability between the academic and the elderly. In addition, it allows to contribute to improve and implant the sense of citizenship in the life of individuals. Key words: Health of the institutionalized elderly, Medicine, Collective Health.

Developing a Tool for Accession to Assessment Exam Cytological of the Cervix

Objective: To develop a tool for assessing the adherence of women performing the cytological examination of the cervix. Method: exploratory, descriptive with quantitative approach, which followed four steps for the construction of the instrument. Held between May and July 2015, using a sample of 384 women attending health facilities in Joao Pessoa city family. Data were analyzed by applying factor analysis and then correspondence analysis. Results: Scores were calculated from the influential factors reported by these women to perform the cytological examination, and then these scores were associated with the frequency of the examination. As for frequency, 37% performed annually, 25.1% every two years and 20.5% every six months, associated between the low and medium scores. While the high score was associated with a lower frequency, corresponding to 1.3% of those who underwent the test every three years and 15.9% who said they have set periods for their realization. Conclusion: The difficulties for not performing the examination, worse adherence to these women that health care, requiring effective interventions of professionals to minimize these barriers.
