A percepção de profissionais da saúde de um hospital sobre a violência contra as mulheres

This qualitative study aimed at finding out the perceptions of health professionals about the assistance to women living in a violent situation. The scenery was a teaching hospital of southern Brazil. The participants were 12 health professionals from the obstetric and emergency units. The data were collected by semi structured interviews started by a short story in April to May of 2008. The information was organized and categorized and subject to thematic analysis. The results showed two categories: the dialogue as a facilitator instrument to identify the violence and their referrals and the complexity of the phenomena and their implications to the assistance. We pointed out the necessity of to create spaces of the responsibility of agencies devoted to training human resources in health and health services. It is in order to form multiprofessional team that discuss and implements the policy care to women living in a violent situation.Estudo descritivo qualitativo que objetivou conhecer percepcoes de profissionais de saude acerca da violencia contra a mulher. O cenario foi um hospital de ensino no sul do Brasil. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram 16 profissionais de saude do Centro Obstetrico e Pronto Socorro. A coleta dos dados realizou-se em abril/maio de 2008, a partir de vinheta e entrevista semi-estruturada. As informacoes foram organizadas e estruturadas por meio da analise tematica. Nos resultados emergiram duas categorias: a necessidade de dialogo para identificar a violencia e encaminhar a situacao e a gravidade do fenomeno da violencia e suas limitacoes. Aponta-se a necessidade de criacao de espacos de co-responsabilizacao dos servicos de saude e de qualificacao profissional. Recomenda-se investimentos na educacao para desconstruir a cultura machista que reforca as desigualdades de genero, existentes em nossa sociedade que naturaliza e, de certa forma, autoriza comportamentos violentos.

Consulta de enfermagem: estratégia de abordagem à gestante na perspectiva de gênero

Relato de uma pratica assistencial desenvolvida no ambulatorio de um hospital geral, de carater filantropico, no interior do Rio Grande do Sul, no periodo de 1999 a 2001. Esta pratica foi implementada por meio de consultas de enfermagem as mulheres gestantes, sendo subsidiada por referenciais de genero. Ressalta-se a importância dos profissionais da saude ampliarem a abordagem a mulher, alem da gestacao. E se confirma a influencia dos referenciais de genero, como um dos determinantes da condicao de vida e de saude das mulheres assistidas, apontando o pre-natal como um espaco que pode viabilizar o empoderamento e a promocao da autonomia e cidadania femininas.

Foram sujeitos da pesquisa dez puérperas que realizaram consultas de enfermagem na UBS, no período de julho de 2003 e agosto de 2004. A obtenção das informações foi realizada por meio de entrevistas semi-estruturadas. As respostas acusam, dentre outros dados, a consulta de enfermagem à gestante como espaço educativo do qual fazem par te também seus familiares, bem como o vínculo estabelecido entre profissional e gestante/família. Por outro lado, apontam para a necessidade de maior privacidade para o atendimento e criticam a troca eventual de profissionais/ docentes nas consultas. This research aims to know the perception of pregnant women concerning to the prenatal appointment carried out by professors and pupils of the Nursing Course of the Federal University of Santa Maria in a city Basic Health Unit. Ten pregnant women who had nursing appointments in a Basic Health Unit from July 2003 until August 2004 were subjects of the research. Semi-structured interviews have been carried out in order to obtain the answers. The answers state, among other data, the nursing appointment as an educative space where all her family members also participate as well as a connection between the professional and the woman/family. On the other hand, the answers also show the need of a bigger privacy during the appointment and criticize possible changes of professionals or professors in these appointments. Thus, this study has helped in changing the atention provided to the pregnant women so that it reaches their necessities and expectations. Esta investigación tubo como objetivo conocer la percepción de gestantes respecto a la consulta de prenatal realizada por docentes y académicos del Curso de Enfermeros de la Universidad Federal de Santa María en una Unidad Básica de Salud del municipio. Fueron sujetos de la investigación diez puérperas que realizaron consultas con los enfermeros en la UBS, en el período de julio de 2003 y agosto de 2004. La obtención de las informaciones fue realizada por medio de entrevistas semiestructuradas. Representações culturais de saúde, doença e vulnerabilidade sob a ótica de mulheres adolescentes

Abstract Resumen El presente articulo presenta un recorte de investigaciondescriptiva, del tipo exploratorio con abordaje cualitativo. Elobjetivo consistio en conocer de que forma la cultura influenciaen el comportamiento de adolescentes, contribuyendo a suvulnerabilidad. El estudio trata de la vision de mujeresadolescentes que integran un proyecto de ensenanza yextension en desarrollo en las escuelas de ensenanzafundamental de la Region Sanitaria Norte de Santa Maria, interiordel Rio Grande del Sur. Para la obtencion de las informacionesse utilizo como instrumento una entrevista semiestructuradacon preguntas que orientan el objetivo de la investigacion.Los resultados destacaron la importancia de la estructuracionde procesos educativos con adolescentes con el objeto deformar habilidades para la vida, lo que permite resistir a laspresiones para adoptar comportamientos de riesgo quepuedan afectar su salud y su desarrollo.Palabras clave: Salud de la mujer. CulturaThis article presents a descriptive research, of an explorativetype, with a qualitative approach aiming at recognizing how cultureinfluences the teenagers’ behavior and, how it contributes totheir vulnerability. This study discusses the view of teenagerwomen, who are taking part in a teaching and extension projectdeveloped in junior high schools from the North Sanitary Regionof the city of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul State. To do so, asemi-structured interview with questions that featured the purposeof the investigation was used as instrument for obtaining therequired information. The results indicated the importance ofstructuring educative processes with teenagers aiming atconstructing abilities for life that would allow them to withstandthe pressure in adopting risk behaviors that may affect theirhealth and development.Keywords: Women’s health. Processo de empoderamento feminino mediado pela qualificação para o trabalho na construção civil

Investigacion cualitativa, exploratoria-descriptiva que tuvo por objetivo conocer las repercusiones del Programa de Extension Universitaria Mujeres Ganando Ciudadania en la vida cotidiana de las mujeres participantes. Fue desarrollada en una ciudad del interior de Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Participaron del estudio 13 mujeres egresadas del programa. Las entrevistas semiestructuradas se llevaron a cabo de enero a agosto/2011. El analisis de contenido tematico destaco la categoria: proceso de empoderamiento a partir de la participacion de las mujeres en el Programa Mujeres Ganando Ciudadania. Se identifico la construccion de la confianza, un cambio significativo en la actitud y en el pensamiento de la mujer en relacion a la percepcion de si misma, conocimiento y poder de decision. Mostraron transformaciones en la forma de pensar acerca de los papeles sociales de mujeres y hombres a partir de los puntos de referencia de ciudadania y empoderamiento. Se concluye que esta experiencia, desde lo que respecta a la Extension hasta el estudio actual, constituye un tema actual y necesario en el area de salud de la mujer.Qualitative research, exploratory-descriptive study which aimed to know the repercussions of the University Extension Program of Women Gaining Citizenship in the daily life of participant women. It was developed in an inland town of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. There were 13 women that participated in the study which were egresses from the Program involved. The semi-structured interviews were carried out from January to August 2011. The thematic content analysis stood out the category: empowerment process from the participation in the Women Gaining Citizenship Program. It was identified the construction of confidence, significant change in attitude and thinking of women in relation to their self-perception, knowledge and power of decision. They expressed changes in the way of thinking at the social roles of women and men, from references of citizenship and empowerment. Its concluded that such experience, as much as regards the Extension as the current study, constitutes a necessary and current issues in the womens health area.

Exame de papanicolau: conhecimento de usuárias de uma unidade básica de saúde

Objective: to identify the knowledge of women attending to a Primary Care Unit, located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, on the preventive cervical screening (Papanicolau). Method: this is a descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach, conducted with 122 women aged 25 to 64 years. We used a questionnaire with open and closed questions. Data collection was conducted from April to December 2011. Data analysis was performed through thematic analysis, yielding two categories. Results: the women interviewed showed knowledge of examination, motivation to take this test and get their results spontaneously. Some difficulties were highlighted as the service opening hours and scheduling system. Conclusion: health professionals should clarify about pap smears, and the nursing role as motivator through health education for the exam

Care for women victims of violence: empowering nurses in the pursuit of gender equity

CONCLUSION Revealing these actions is important to qualify nursing care in relation to the other health professionals and care services for women victims of violence.

Ações de enfermeiras em planejamento reprodutivo na atenção primária à saúde

Aim: To know the actions in reproductive planning performed by nurses on primary health care in a city in the countryside of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Methods: An exploratory research with a qualitative and descriptive approach, held in municipality in the Central region of Rio Grande do Sul, from September to October 2015, with the participation of 12 nurses. Semi-structured interviews were used to produce the data and the thematic content analysis to analyze. Results: In general, the developed activities are individual, focusing mostly on the biologicals aspects. The nurses recognize the need of a systematization of the activities since they point out future plans. There are still some difficulties that make it arduous the carrying out of activities. Conclusion: Reproductive planning doesn’t take place the way it is recommended, not depending on only the nurse. It’s necessary to undertake efforts where the management of health services, together with professionals committed to sexual and reproductive health, commit to develop reproductive planning spaces as a tool for health promotion.
